Dehesa del Rincón Birding Route and La Laguna del Rincón Birding Itinerary

The itinerary starts where the Cordel de Los Llanos (Drovers’ route) crosses the road from Candeleda to Oropesa (AV – 910 Km 23). This is an area of extensive farming with pastures and holm oaks with a small reservoir where the Laguna del Rincón Bird Observatory is located. The length of the itinerary is 7.8 km. After crossing a small bridge over a stream, a few metres further on we turn left, at the Observatory, continuing along the drovers’ route; the surface is more uneven and rutted. Leaving the Casa del Rincón on our right, with its small bull ring and livestock buildings, we head off into the dehesa (extensive pasture-land farm). Further ahead, we go up a small hill, and as we come down the other side, we reach an area of fields and pasture, which will be the return point.
